THE Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Alimosho, Honourable Isiaka Shodiya, has on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, said that the ruling party has duped the electorate with years of failed promises

Honourable Shodiya made this known in a short chat with AlimoshoToday.com after an LGA executive meeting on Tuesday evening.

"You know Alimosho, as it were, is the largest local government area in Nigeria; not only in Lagos. So, any party that is serious in Alimosho, the structure must be strong. Like any other political party, we do have many programmes towards 2023 in 2022. As a party, we want to up our sensitisation programmes. The electorate have been duped for too long. They don't know what is happening, they don't know what governance really is. This is why we have to sensitise them and let them know that the PDP is the only alternative." Honourable Shodiya said.

"We are planning to have a political summit in Alimosho. This will comprise all our political leaders, actors, and a significant part of the electorate. We want to unveil our party manifesto. We want to sit with community leaders and discuss the way forward in 2023 because Alimosho has been battered by the ruling party. They have been at the helm of affairs with nothing to show for it", Alhaji Shodiya explained.

The meeting was also attended by other members of the executive committee such as the Vice Chairman, Deaconess Esther Adeyemi; Secretary, Comrade Ezekiel Oriyomi; Publicity Secretary, Adeniyi Adeleke Mukaila; Youth Leader, Pastor Gbenga Ogunleye; Organising Secretary Alhaja Bola Bamgbose; and Women Leader, Alhaja Kariola Mojisola.
