THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon graced the Lagos State House of Assembly's eighth annual constituency meeting of the Alimosho constituency 01 tagged ‘2023 General Election: the Imperatives of Permanent Voters' Card’ held at the Private Ice Hotel, Ipaja Lagos on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

According to reports made available for publication by the Media Aide to the Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Opeyemi Yusuf, the constituency stakeholders meeting is an annual program of the Lagos State House of Assembly where the members representing every constituency in Lagos are expected to give a one-year stewardship account, as well as receive the complaints and recommendations that will be presented to the House of Assembly for the next legislative year from their constituents.

The INEC Boss in Alimosho LGA, Mr Ajayi, who spoke on the theme of the meeting, stated that the total number of uncollected PVCs runs into the millions yet INEC didn't stop the registration just to ensure that every eligible citizen is not denied the right to vote.1632

In his keynote speech, Hon. Bisi Yusuf, a member of the House of Assembly representing Alimosho Constituency 01, said "The stakeholders meeting which has become a yearly ritual of the Lagos State House of Assembly has had lots of positive effects on our community courtesy of my good representation as most, if not all, complaints and recommendations made last year has been worked upon.

“The ones you are going to make now won't be an exception. Therefore, expect more of this type of stakeholder's meeting in future to be hosted by the next House of Assembly member in Alimosho Constituency 01 who is presently the candidate of the party for the said position."

He concluded that since bad leaders are elected by good citizens who refuse to vote, all eligible persons must get their Permanent Voters' Card (PVCs) to vote during the next general election.
