THE All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives flag bearer in the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba (Mayor KK) has commiserated with the Nelson family and the entire All Progressives Congress (APC) party on the demise of the former APC South West Women Leader, Chief Kemi Nelson who passed on after a brief illness on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 66.
The House of Reps hopeful in his condolence message on Monday, July 18, 2022, said; “Words may not suffice to express my heartfelt sorrow that I feel for the passing away of Yeye Kemi Nelson after a brief illness.
“Chief Mrs KEMI Nelson was an Amazon APC stalwart; before her death, she was the Yeye Oge of Lagos State and a very close ally of our National Leader and Presidential Candidate of our party APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“She served under the leadership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was governor as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation and her achievements cannot be erased. She also served as the Women Leader of Lagos State Chapter of APC and was later made the South West Women Leader of the party.
“The only female member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC). She was also the Executive Director of Operations of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).
“A thought of comfort and condolences to the grieving family, our National Leader and Presidential candidate of our Party APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu, Lagos GAC Members, APC family in Lagos and at the national level for this colossal loss; gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”
