FORMER Deputy Governor of Lagos State and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party for Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr Idiat Adebule has been declared winner of the just concluded election.
Information reaching Alimoshotoday affirms that Adebule pulled 361,296 votes to defeat her main challenger, Segun Adewale (Aeroland) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 248,653 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Lagos West Senatorial District Collation Officer, Prof Solomon Akinboye, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election.
An illustrious daughter of Ojo LGA and a sound educationist, Adebule has made her mark in Lagos State, having served as Secretary to the Lagos State Government and later as the Deputy Governor.
Come May 2023, Adebule will be in the Senate to represent Lagos West Senatorial District which covers the following LGAs; Agege, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Alimosho, Amuwo-Odofin, Badagry, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikeja, Mushin, Ojo, and Oshodi-Isolo.
