THE Member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Alimosho Constituency 01, Honourable Bisi Yusuff has been accused of overstating the achievements of his administration by a yet-to-be-identified concerned Alimosho resident.
In a correspondence made available for publication, the residence said; “The 8th annual constituency stakeholders meeting held simultaneously in all 40 Constituencies in Lagos might have come and gone but there are still echoes from Alimosho Constituency 01 gathering due to the claims and personal attributions that needed to be put in perspective.
“Constituents of Alimosho 01 should be told the truth & nothing but the truth.
“Here is the truth about the achievements that Alimosho constituency 01 representative, Hon Bisi Yusuf, attributed to himself:
“1. BARUWA - IDOWU EGBA LINK BRIDGE PROJECT: The Motion that brought this project to actualisation was moved by Hon. Kehinde Joseph (Alimosho 02) because it passes through his constituency. Therefore, nobody else should pride in this.
“2. OLAYEMI LINK BRIDGE: A project started purely by the last administration under Ambode was to link Agric Road in Igando from Olayemi. It was a project initiated purely by LASG. So, why will anyone claim it has his own?
“3. CULTURAL VILLAGE PROJECT IN IJON (AYOBO-IPAJA LCDA): This is the brainchild of the Ministry of Tourism under the leadership of Hon. (Pharm) Uzamot Akinbile-Yusuf, the commissioner and it's purely the Ministry's vision and initiative.
“4. Kudos to SUBEB, Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola ( YAYI ), and Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA for the befitting classrooms already completed and the ones under construction at Salvation Army Primary School & St Andrews respectively. They are highly acknowledged for these laudable feats. SUBEB projects are ongoing throughout the state, YAYI is doing its own throughout Lagos West Senatorial District & Ayobo Ipaja LCDA is doing its primary duty.
“5. LASU ADMISSION QUOTA: In the tradition of Lagos State House of Assembly only (2) & later (3) slots for admission were allotted to each member for each academic session. How come the outrageous numbers were mentioned. The highest extra any non-principal member has ever gotten through intense lobbying was 8. So, how did he come about the 25 Doctors, 25 Nurses, 25 Engineers and the rest? This is nothing but Configuration per excellence.
"6. HON. AGE's CHILD ADMISSION TO STUDY MEDICINE IN LASU: This was facilitated solely by Hon Kehinde Joseph and not Hon. Bisi as claimed. As a matter of fact, the only person who ever enjoyed a slot from Hon. Bisi to study medicine at LASU is the son of his Physician, Dr Akanbi. If otherwise, our assembly representative should tell us the name.
“7. PARTY MEMBERS WELFARE: Hon. Bisi Yusuff has refused to give party members welfare packages for all celebrations since 2021. So far, he gave no welfare package for Ileya in 2021 and in this present 2022, including December 2021 despite all the benefits and funds he has received being the Alimosho Constituency 01 representative for over 11 years now. What explanation does he have for this?”
The aggrieved resident also said; “Dear Alimosho constituents, it is clear from the above that Hon. Bisi Yusuff actually spent especially the last year representing himself and his family alone. No wonder the stakeholder's gathering was so scanty and filled with only very few stakeholders. And to cover his flaws he invited, majorly, his hungry chanters who will sing his praise after being given #1000. Or what else is the explanation for the non-appearance of over 70% of those who were there last year?”
“We, therefore, challenge Hon. Bisi Yusuff to give us only ten names of the people he made Engineers and Doctors. Only Ten!
“May God save Alimosho from bad representatives like Hon. Bisi Yusuff,” the resident concluded.
