PASTOR Enoch Adewuni of 19, Jibowu Street in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State allegedly beat his wife, Mrs Busayo Adewuni, aged 34, to death on Saturday, February 7, 2022, from yet-to-be unravelled circumstances and leaving behind three children, with the last being 10-month old.
According to information reaching AlimoshoToday, the domestic violence victim, Late Mrs Busayo Adewuni, while she was alive, had allegedly confided in her family members about the assault being meted out to her by her Pastor husband although she refused to involve appropriate security agencies.
The late victim’s husband, Pastor Adewuni, is currently in police detention while his mother who lived with them is now at large.
The incident was initially reported at the Oko Oba Police Station but the case has since been transferred to the Homicide Department of Nigeria Police, Panti.
Meanwhile, the Women Arise for Change Initiative, an organization established to protect women’s rights in Nigeria, under the leadership of Dr Joe Okei Odumakin already has an interest in the case.
