THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA has wished the residents of the council area a happy New Year today, Saturday, January 1, 2022.
A social media felicitation post by the mayor reads; "It is with great joy and deep gratitude to God that I welcome you all into this glorious Year 2022. We made it to the New Year despite all odds.
"First of all, I want to specially appreciate all the residents of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA for trusting me with their mandate. I will do my best in ensuring the fulfillment of all my campaign promises.
"To be candid, Year 2021 was a tough and challenging one for us as a nation but we bless the name of God for gloriously making it this far. May I therefore encourage us all to embrace this New Year with high hopes and determination to make a difference by maximizing our potentials and tapping into every available opportunity."
He, equally, urged the residents of the LCDA to be safety and security conscious in the new year.
"Let's begin the year with all sense of responsibility by contributing our quota in flattening the curve of the Covid-19 menace by strictly adhering to all the safety protocols and guidelines," he admonished.
He went on to further say that; "Once again, on behalf of the Government of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I sincerely welcome everyone to Year 2022. May the Year, indeed, be all that we desire it to be and even more.
"Please continue to give this administration your support as we continue to transform our LCDA into the community of our dream. So help us God."
The chairman wishes the residents of Agbado Oke-Odo a happy new year filled with great opportunities.
