Agbado Oke-Odo council boss addresses stakeholders during Year 2022 Budget Retreat

THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa has presented the budget for year 2022 to the stakeholders of the council area.

The council boss presented the budget at the recently concluded Year 2022 budget retreat, tagged ‘Budget of Economic Sustainability, held at the Colossus Lagos Hotel, Ikeja, on Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15, 2022.  

According to information reaching AlimoshoToday, the council chairman, while declaring the event open, welcomed all stakeholders to the retreat and also reiterated his administration's commitment to the provision of vital social services for the people and particularly the youth in the Local Council Area.

He also affirmed that the ICT Park in Kantagowa Market will become operational this year for the benefit of all.

Hon. Famuyiwa also disclosed that any unit or department or office that surpasses their stipulated budget revenue in the year 2022 will be rewarded. 

The Council Boss then affirmed that there will be provision of solar street lights on some of the roads in the LCDA, and construction of some streets like Olawale Cole Street, Old Otta Road, Lawal Street, and Olusola Street in order to improve infrastructural development in the council area.

The budget retreat also featured a health check and a workshop on ‘Planning for Economic Sustainability’ which was facilitated by the Director-General, Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, Mr Fatai Idowu Onafowote, who emphasized the need for auditability, professionalism, transparency, accountability, and value for money in the procurement process.
