IN commemoration of the Lagos State Annual Tree Planting Day, the Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, participated in the Year 2023 Tree planting Day themed "Let's Green our City" across the council area on Friday, July 14, 2023.
While addressing participants at the event, Hon. Famuyiwa admonished all to make this year's exercise an avenue to make the city greener by planting more trees in the environment and ending the indiscriminate felling of trees. He emphasised that tree planting produces oxygen and controls erosion, thereby creating a healthier environment.
He concluded by lauding the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for preserving and sustaining this great initiative while emphasising that its essence cannot be underestimated.
The highlight of the day was the planting of trees by the Council Chairman, Council Executives, Legislators, and the management team, including party leaders and members, the CDC, and religious bodies.
