22 players in Super Eagles camp ahead of AFCON23

TWENTY-two Super Eagles of Nigeria players have reported to training camp ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations that will start kick start next week Saturday in Ivory Coast.

Three players, Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, striker Umar Sodiq and midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, who was called to replace the injured Wilfred Ndidi arrived at camp earlier today.

According to media officer, Babafemi Raji, CAF's Player of the Year and striker, Victor Osimhen and vice-captain William Troost-Ekong will join their teammates in camp today.

The team had their first training session yesterday and is expected to have two training sessions today in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates where they will be spending the next one-week training for the tournament.

The arrival date of Leicester City's striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is unknown yet as the player is in a race against time to be fit for the tournament after picking a muscle-related injury with his club.
