THE Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Mosan-Okunola LCDA Branch, led by Comrade Bashorun Olushola, yesterday, May 7, 2001, organized May Day Get-Together Party in commemoration of May 1st Workers Day. Senior citizens (retirees) of the Council were also celebrated during the party.
It was said that the Get-Together Party and the celebration of the Council's retirees, alongside the presentation of bus to the Union are, for the very first time in the history of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, three laudable projects that affect impacted on the council's staff.
The executive chairman, Hon. Princess Olabisi Adebajo deamed it fit to celebrate the Retirees, Ajakaiye Demmy. M (Mrs.), former Human Resource Officer, Mrs. Olufakoya, former Procurement Officer with gifts respectively to appreciate them for their services within theirs stay in the LCDA.
Adebanjo also presented the Union with a Utility vehicle to aide their day to day functions. She also promised to keep supporting them in every capacity she can.
The Council Manager, in his speech, appreciated the Council boss for her giant steps in the area of welfare for the staff.
Hon. Princess, in her speech thanked and appreciated the retirees for their co-operation and support during their stay as she prayed for higher and greater level in their journey of life.
In attendance were Vice Chairman, Dayo Osinowo, Leader of the house, Hon. Olasunkanmi Adefioye, his deputy Hon. Prince Adeyemi, majority leader, Hon. Olasunkanmi Adekola, Supervisory Councillors, Management Staffs and members of staffs graced the event.
