THERE was a pipeline explosion on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at midnight, in Isale-Odo, a community within the Egbeda-Akowonjo axis of Alimosho.
The fire outbreak was linked to the activities of pipeline vandals who had affected the pipeline adversely. The fire reportedly burnt some houses but no casualty was officially reported.
The South-West Zonal Public Relations Officer of the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, has said that the fire had been put out on time.
"Yes, there was a fire incident at Isale-Odo. It was a pipeline explosion, but it has been put out", Mr, Farinloye said.
