ACCORDING to a statement released by the Chief Executive Officer of Leadway Health, Dr Tokunbo Alli, the blood donation exercise is to commemorate this year’s World Blood Donor Day. He also mentioned that the exercise is in sequence with this year’s theme “Give blood and keep the world beating,” to create awareness about the importance of providing the nation’s healthcare system with safe and voluntary blood by donors.
“The need for blood is universal, but access to blood for all those who need it is not. With this collaboration, we are optimistic that unpaid and voluntary donors will come out in their numbers to donate blood, show care, and contribute to better health which is a key driver for us at Leadway Health”, he said.
The exercise will take place at the Leadway Assurance head office in Surulere, Lagos.
