TIMEOn Kairos Polytechnic, located at 326 Lagos Abeokuta Expressway, Cele/Super Bus stop, Abule Egba Lagos, is a private tertiary institution that offers higher education and vocational skills to school leavers seeking higher education knowledge.
TIMEOn Kairos Polytechnic was established in 2014 with the name 'Time On Kairos Educational and Vocational Institute (Polytechnic)'. The polytechnic was formally approved by the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)as a polytechnic in October 2018.
TimeOn Kairos Polytechnic is established with the vision of offering educational and vocational learning opportunities to young school leavers that will enable them to make positive contributions in their personal life and in society.
To foster access to easy learning, TimeOn Kairos Polytechnic runs the 'School System' in which related disciplines and departments are grouped into schools with each school run by a dean. The institute's calendar is also divided into two semesters of 17 weeks each. The polytechnic also offers a part-time option for willing students.
The programme of study in TimeOn Kairos Polytechnic is divided into the Ordinary National Diploma (OND/ ND) and the Higher National Diploma (HND); the OND certification requires a two-year programme of study and a four-month Students' Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), where applicable, during the programme. Enrolment into the HND programme requires a minimum of 1-year post-ND work experience and a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50-2.99.
TimeOn Kairos Polytechnic currently has five separate schools with various departments and disciplines under them; the schools include School of Applied Science, School of Environmental Studies, School of Management Studies, School of Philosophy, Religion, and Peace Studies, and School of General Studies, Entrepreneurship, and Pre-National Diploma. Although the polytechnic currently offers 5 courses (accounting, computer engineering, computer science, electronic engineering (elect-elect), and banking operations). It has also applied for approval of 12 more courses from the NBTE.
TimeOn Kairos Polytechnic has, officially, graduated 2 sets of students (2018/2019 and 2020/2021 sessions). The polytechnic also boasts of a standard CBT centre accredited by JAMB for UTME examinations.
The principal officers of TimeOn Kairos Polytechnic include Deacon John Ekundayo Idowu - Rector, Mrs Eniola Ogundipe - Registrar, and Rev. Dr Titus Kolawole Oyeyemi, Founding President/Chief Executive Officer.
