'Great Platinum Schools are pacesetters in the academic world'- Proprietress

THE Proprietress of the Great Platinum Schools, Mrs Victoria Ojeleye, has said that the schools, both the primary and secondary sections, are pacesetters in the academic world.

THE Proprietress of the Great Platinum Schools, Mrs Victoria Ojeleye, has said that the schools, both the primary and secondary sections, are pacesetters in the academic world.

She disclosed this in a recent interview with AlimoshoToday.

According to Mrs Ojeleye: "Great Plantinum Schools happen to be the first school that started e-learning in this Alimosho. We believe that we are pacesetters."

She also emphasised that the students of Great Plantinum Schools, after their education in the school, are always doing very well in their respective tertiary institutions, even outside the shores of Nigeria.

On the history of the school, she said: "The name suggested and sent to the education ministry for approval was the platinum. Getting there, the name was changed to Great Platinum School.

"When the name was given, we prayed over it and the Lord directed that this is how it should be.

"Three colours were given to us during the course of praying, that is white which stands for peace, the red which is the blood of Jesus and the grey which is platinum and it is a precious stone. That is to say that those children are very precious to us because they are the apple of God's eyes."

According to the administrator, the schools "operate an ‘open door’ policy of seamless communication between teachers and parents. We encourage our pupils/students to explore new ideas and challenge them to high academic standards. We nurture our pupils/students to learn through creative and interactive activities both inside and outside the classroom.  We live out our values as a family. We are always prepared to make a difference anywhere in the world."

Great Platinum Schools, located at Road 12, Peace Estate, Baruwa, Ipaja area of Lagos State, is a Montessori school running both British and Nigerian curriculum.

The school is known for its outstanding academic achievements. It is located in a serene learning environment with top-class learning facilities with happy, confident and dedicated teachers. The core values of the schools are Courtesy, Integrity, Love and Trust.
