NIGERIA and Leicester City defensive midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, will not feature in any game till next season due to injury as confirmed by Leicester City manager Brendan Rongers.
The 24 years old midfielder was missed in the super eagles of Nigeria failed quest for a world cup place in Qatar against the Black stars of Ghana with the later securing the spot with away goal rule after a 1-1 draw.
While providing fitness report ahead of Leicester City clash with Manchester United, Brendan Rongers gave update on Ndidi
"Wilfred Ndidi will be out for the season, it’s a shame for us, but he’ll get ready for next season.
"It’s unfortunate. He’s been a brilliant player for me in my time here. He picked up a nasty injury that has had to have surgery on and he’ll recover now until June."
Wilfred Ndidi who made 31 appearances in all possible competitions for Leicester City this season, scoring two goals will be greatly missed by the club.
