"SAUL needed his time" were the words of Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, when asked on Saul Niguez's lack of play time.
The Spanish international joined Chelsea on a loan deal from Atletico Madrid on transfer dead line day and has picked up two appearances for Chelsea since then.
Tuchel claimed that the lack of play time was that the midfielder was not ready and needed more time to adapt.
"I think every single player needs his time to adapt and Saul needed his time. He competes with a lot of high quality players in midfield," he said at a press conference
"We need to understand him a bit better, not in terms of language, but in terms of what is his real strength, the detail of the player, what can he add to the squad, where is his, maybe, unique quality and it was not easy", he said.
