CHELSEA'S manager, Thomas Tuchel, has given an update on the condition of his squad to face Manchester City on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Etihad stadium.
Chelsea having successfully qualified for the finals of the league cup after defeating Tottenham Hotspur by an aggregate of 3-0 will be looking to keep pressure on Manchester City who sits top of the table.
Closing the gap between the club and the group leaders won't be a walk-through for the club as they have been met with some challenges as four of their players will not be available.
“No news which is good news. Trevoh will be out, Reece James out, Ben Chilwell out, we have one new positive Covid test with Andreas Christensen so he will be out of the game,” Tuchel said in a press interview.
That aside, every other player will be available for selection. In fact, Chelsea has recalled left-sided midfielder Kenedy from loan with Flamengo.
