NIGERIAN striker, Asisat Oshoala, has emerged as the league's highest goal scorer with Barcelona femini despite making only 19 appearances.
The 27 years old Super Falcon scored 20 goals in just 19 appearances for the Barcelona Femini team as she picked up the golden boot and will share the award with Brazilian Geyse Ferreira, who managed 20 goals in 27 appearances for Madrid CFF.
Oshoala became the first Nigerian to achieve the feat as her goals also helped Barcelona to win the league title, unbeaten in 30 games winning all 30 of them. The team scored 159 goals and conceded only 11.
Barcelona femini could also win the Uefa Women’s Champions League final where they are scheduled to take on Lyon at Juventus Stadium on May 21. They will then take on Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Copa de la Reina at Santo Domingo four days later.
Oshoala joined Barcelona in 2019 from Premier League club, Arsenal.
