CURRENT champions of Africa, Senegal, has also been issued a notice to have its next match played behind closed doors with a fine of $180,000.

Recall that Nigeria had also been issued the same verdict with a $153,000 fine after a pitch invasion that occurred when the Super Eagles of Nigeria fell to the Black Stars of Ghana during the World Cup Qualifiers in Abuja.

Senegal was equally fined 175,000 Swiss Francs ($180,000) over several incidents which includes pitch invasion, an offensive banner and for failing “to ensure that law and order was maintained in the stadium” during the World Cup qualifier fixture against Egypt.

Recall that fans had shone laser pointers at  Mohamed Salah as he missed in the penalty shootout which saw Senegal secure a World Cup spot.

Also, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Lebanon received similar punishments, following disturbances at games against Morocco and Syria, respectively.
