BARCELONA forward, Ousmane Dembele, could sign a new contract with the club despite interest from other clubs.
The Frenchman who won the World cup in 2018 has just few months left on his contract and could begin talk with other clubs in January provided he refuses to remain at Barcelona.
But Barcelona's newly appointed manager, Xavi Hernandez, believes Ousmane Dembele is happy at the club and noted that he was a key part of his plan.
"I have spoken to him and he's very happy here," Xavi told reporters. "We're going to try and let's see if we can renew his contract because for me, he's a key piece."
Dembele returned from an hamstring injury on Tuesday's Champions league clash against Benfica. The 24 years old has 30 goals in 120 appearances for Barcelona since joining the club from Dortmund in 2017.
