NIGERIA international, Victor Osimhen, who plays for Italian club Napoli has been voted the U23 Best Young Player in Serie A for the 2021-22 season.
The 23-year-old Super Eagles player scooped the award for U23 best player of the season after beating the likes of Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus and Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo.
The player since joining the club from Lille has made 50 Serie A career appearances overall. He has a record of 24 goals and 5 assists since his debut match in 2020 as a substitute.
This season Osimhen has played in 26 appearances overall and playing 1,970 minutes. He started in 23 of these appearances and entered as a substitute on 3 occasions with a tally of 14 goals this season, as well as being the team's top league scorer.
The player who was listed among the 30 players to represent Nigeria at the forthcoming friendlies will hope to add to his tally of goals when Napoli travel to face Spezia in their final league game of the season at Alberto Picco.
