SUPER Falcon baller, Asisat Oshoala has opened her scoring sheet for the Barcelona female team after she scored in a 4-1 thrashing against Villareal in the late hours of Sunday, September 25, 2022.
According to media reports, the Super Falcon forward, who couldn't find the back of the net in Barcelona's feminine first game of the season against Granadilla Tenerife, made an impressive performance against Villareal yesterday night.
Oshoala, who was voted as African Women player of the year, scored Barcelona’s second goal of the game in the 48th minute before she was substituted in the 66th minute and was replaced by 27-year-old Claudia Pina.
Asisat Oshoala won last season's top scorer award in the league, as she was a joint top scorer in the Spanish Iberdrola last season, with 20 goals in 19 league appearances.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool forward would be gunning to secure another top scorer award this season as they begin their title defence journey.
The Barcelona femini will be up against rivals, Real Madrid in their next game, and Oshoala will be looking at replicating the same performance in the women's version of the El-Classico
