NIGERIA goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo, is hoping to gain first team football experience by going on loan deal when the summer transfer window opens.

The 20 years old, despite breaking into the Arsenal first team last season, is yet to have his first appearance for the Gunners with Aaron Ramsdale and Bernd Leno in his way.

"Going out and getting some senior football will be very important to my career and future. Getting loads of games will prepare me for one day hopefully being No.1 and playing in the Premier League. That’s my goal" Okonkwo said to Goal.com

"Then, my future goal is winning trophies. But it’s all in stages. I just have to keep working every day, staying focused, and hopefully, in time, it will come together." He added.

The Hale end academy graduate has been an unused sub in 7 Arsenal games this season, but has managed to keep himself fit by playing a couple of games for the development squad in Premier League 2.
