INTER Milan has negotiated an eight million euro ($8.4 million) loan fee to sign Romelu Lukaku who will accept a pay cut to leave Stamford Bridge.

Lukaku will now return to Milan on a loan deal just one year after joining Chelsea in a  club-record £97.5 million, claiming the transfer was an emotional return home after he played for the club from 2011 to 2014.

Lukaku's second spell at Chelsea couldn't have been worse as he found the net only 8 times during the Premier League campaign with Chelsea finishing third.

Lukaku, despite also being Chelsea's top scorer this season with 15 goals, is thought to have pushed for the move back to Inter and Chelsea's new co-owner Todd Boehly immediately agreed.

The player will now return to Milan where he won the Serie A title in 2021, while Chelsea will be looking for a replacement with Robert Lewandowski on the list of options.
