EX Manchester United and Nigeria's striker, Odion Ighalo, has seen his market value drop despite move to Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al-Shabab.

According to transfer market, Ighalo's market value dropped from €4M to €3.5M which could be as a result of his move to Asia, alongside his age as the striker is now 32 years old.

If to be rated among Nigerian players over the age of 30, only Chelsea's Victor Moses (€6.5m) and Trabzonpsor's Anthony Nwakaeme (€5m) have a higher market value than Ighalo. He is also the fourth most expensive Al-Shabab player with  Fábio Martins (€9m), éver Banega (€4.5m) and Cristian Guanca (€4m) taking the top 3 spot.

As at 2016, Ighalo was at his highest market value of €12M and at that time, he was heavily linked to a move to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Ighalo later went on to join Manchester United on loan initially until the end of the 2019–20 season; the loan was then extended until January 2021.
