AJAX Manager, Erik Ten Hag, has been linked to a move to Manchester United that could see him as the new manager of the club, taking over Ralf Ragnick by the end of the season.
Despite the news that a verbal agreement has been reached, there is still no official confirmation as Manchester United as kept mute on the decision and refusing to give any update on the matter.
The question remains how close is Erik Ten Hag to becoming Manchester United's manager. Well, a hint to the answer to the question came when Dutch journalist, Mike Verweij, ahead of the KNVB Cup final with PSV Eindhoven, asked Ten Hag a question.
Verweij said: "First of all, congratulations with your move to Manchester United. Can you explain why you are keeping quiet about this?"
Ten Hag replied: “Because I serve Ajax. We need to win the two remaining trophies."
The 52 years old tactician did not deny the news, but rather said he was focused on winning two trophies this season for Ajax.
