NIGERIA Club, Lobi Stars have made it clear that they won't be bringing Portugal forward, Cristiano Ronaldo to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The 37-year-old and 5-time Ballon d'Or winner has left his club, Manchester United by mutual consent, after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan put him on the receiving end.
The NPFL club, in a tweet, revealed that they won't be bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to Nigeria.
"Please be informed that #WeAreLobi is yet to make any contact with representatives of #CristianoRonaldo following his release from Manchester United.
“We wish him the best & #LobiStars will make no further comment on this, the Nigeria Professional Football League said in a tweet on their verified handle late Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
It is quite obvious that this is banter intended as, on a normal level, the club won't be able to afford the former Real Madrid player's wages.
