FORMER Nigerian international and Olympic gold medalist, Abiodun Obafemi has showered praises on Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Terem Moffi for their excellent performances this season.
The three Nigerian international stars found the back of the net in their league games during the last round of matches, with Victor Osimhen for Napoli, Ademola Lookman for Atalanta, both in the Serie A, and Terem Moffi for Lorient in the Ligue 1.
Speaking to Brilla FM, Obafemi praised the players, noting that Nigeria has not had this calibre of players in recent years.
He said: "We haven't had it so good in recent years. Nobody will contest this, Osimhen is the hottest striker in Europe, and by extension in the world. He's doing so well now and I believe he hasn't reached his full potential.
"Lookman has also surpassed expectations. There are so many of them doing good at the moment, Terem Moffi as well."
The performance of the three Super Eagles' players may earn them a call-up for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March, as they have collectively earned 34 goals for their clubs this season.
