TWENTY-NINE teams out of thirty-two teams have been confirmed will feature at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after a happy, and also sad, World Cup Qualifier fixtures over the week.

With the likes of seven times Ballon D or winner, Lionel Messi, five times Ballon D or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, and FIFA's world best, Robert Lewandowski, confirmed to feature at the World Cup. There are also some surprising names that won't be at the  World Cup with a focus on Africa players.

With Egypt failing to qualify for the World Cup, Mohammed Salah of Liverpool will not be in this year edition of the World Cup and unfortunately, it is coming just months after they failed to win the AFCON tournament in January.

Algeria and Manchester City winger, Riyad Mahrez, is also out of the World Cup in Qatar, but still stands a chance of winning the Premier League this season with Manchester City.

Nigeria's own golden boy, Victor Osimhen, will not be having his World Cup debut since they lost to football rival Ghana. The player has since returned to Napoli to continue his good form in the Italian League.
