Eguavoen to remain in charge of Super Eagles

It is expected that the 58-year-old will also take charge of the Super Eagles B team for the qualifying campaign for next year’s African Nations Championship, otherwise known as CHAN.

THE NFF has confirmed that Coach Augustine Eguavoen will continue his role as Head Coach of the Super Eagles ahead of the AFCON qualifying matches against Libya next month.

Eguavoen, who is temporarily in charge of the team secured a 3-0 win against Benin Republic and scoreless draw with Rwanda in Matchdays 1 and 2 earlier this month.

The NFF are satisfied with his performance as they approve him and the rest of the technical team, including Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec to take charge of the team.

As for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, the departure of  Randy Waldrum has made the Executive Committee also approve the recommendation of the Technical and Development Sub-Committee for Coach Justin Madugu to take charge of the team.
