MANCHESTER United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has returned back to training at Carrington today having missed the trip to Anfield yesterday that saw United fall to a 4-0 defeat.

Ronaldo who announced the tragic passing away of his baby boy on Monday was allowed to miss the match against Liverpool as he was granted compassionate leave to tend to his family.

Fans around the world have sent goodwill messages to the 37 years old since the incident, and Liverpool and Manchester United fans gathered together in the 7th minutes of the game to pay tribute to the player.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, told Sky Sports after the game: "It was a real show of class and of course, all our thoughts from the moment we heard about it were for Cristiano and his family and I can't even imagine how it must be. We really feel for him."

The 5 times Ballon D or winner has now returned to training as he was spotted on his way into United training ground in Carrington and could be available for Manchester United's game against Arsenal on Saturday.
