MANCHESTER United's experienced midfielder, Casemiro has picked up his 5th yellow card of the season, after a tackle on Crystal Palace's Wilfred Zaha, during a league game on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, resulting in a one-match ban.

The former Real Madrid player would miss the Premier League game on Sunday, January 22, 2023, against league leaders Arsenal as United will be hoping to close the gap between them while Arsenal will want to extend the distance.

Casemiro has been an important addition to the team since joining them last year, as he has contributed his quota to ensuring Manchester United regain their dominance in the league.

Acknowledging Casemiro's importance to the team, United goalkeeper, De Gea blames the Premier League for the tight and unfavourable fixtures.

“It's a big blow to lose Casemiro for Sunday. I don't get why Arsenal don't play as we have to play in the same week and they don't. Now, we are missing one of our best players. I don't understand. Now, we miss him [Casemiro] for a big game and it is a big loss for us," De Gea told Sky Sports.

The last time the two met in the league, United walked away with all 3 points, as they handed Arsenal their first and only loss in the Premier League, as the Gunners will be seeking revenge when they meet this weekend.
