WITH the signing of Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie appearing to have been closed, Barcelona is now working on signing various other targets which includes a new centre-back.

The club has expressed interest in Sevilla centre-back, Jules Kounde, and has made him a top priority as Xavi Hernandez plans to make him an ideal long-term replacement for the ageing Gerard Pique.

Recent reports reveal that Barcelona has made the first move and  has submiited a bid of €20M whilst adding Sergino Dest and Clement Lenglet in the deal for the player who has a speculating price tag of €80M.

Sevilla on the other hand will be happy to take Clement Lenglet who happens to be a former associate of the club, However it would be a tough decison as Sevilla currently would favour a cash-only deal.

Barcelona also has highlighted an alternative should things not go according to plan by targeting Kalidou Koulibaly whose current deal at Napoli expires in 2023, which could open up an opportunity for Barça to sign him at a bargain fee this summer.
