18 year old Ansu Fati makes it clear that there is no pressure on him wearing the No.10 Jersey at Barcelona.
The prestigious No.10 jersey was worn by the 6 time Ballon d'Or winner, Lionel Messi, who later moved to Paris Saint-German due to financial reasons at Barcelona.
After the move, Barcelona handed over the No.10 jersey to Ansu Fati who has now signed a new contract with the club that will see him with Barcelona till 2027.
"It's true that the No.10 jersey has been worn by Leo Messi and many players but I'm calm," Fati said in Thursday's news conference.
"For me it's not a pressure. No one is going to be like Leo, no one is going to be like former captains Carles, Puyol or Xavi... No one is going to equal what Leo has done. I'm going to follow my own journey. I still haven't done anything. I hope I can have a career like they have had", he added.
Ansu Fati's new contract extension with Barcelona has a release clause of €1 Billion, same as that of his teammate, Pedri.
