IN his quest to ensure Messi's return to Barcelona, Sergio Aguero has urged club president, Joan Laporta to do what it takes to get the Argentine back to the Catalans.

Aguero, who made a short spell in Barcelona before retiring from football due to medical issues, could not play alongside Lionel Messi who left the same summer he joined the Catalans.

Aguero now believes that as his former countrymate's contract runs to an end in Paris Saint-German, Barcelona should seize the player in order to return him back to the club, where he made his name and became one of the greatest of all times.

"My feeling is that there is a 50% chance that Leo Messi will return at Barca. I think that Leo should retire at Barca.

"Barcelona is his home, he has to finish his career here. If president Laporta makes the step, I think Messi’s return to Barcelona will come closer," he said during a Twitch session for Gerard Pique's King's League.

Over the past few weeks, stories of Lionel Messi returning to Barcelona have spread like wildfire; while some are optimistic that the player will remain at PSG or move to the Saudi Arabia league or MLS.
