AHEAD of today's second-leg encounter with Guinea Bissau, the Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has insisted that the team can get the job done.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria could not handle the job on Friday, March 24, 2023, as they lost 1-0 to Guinea Bissau at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the match, Peseiro explained what they intend to achieve later today.

He said, "We respect all the teams, we want to beat Guinea-Bissau, of course. Our responsibility is to come here to defend our country, defend our flag, we've come here to beat Guinea-Bissau.

"Nigeria cannot play any game in Africa without having it in mind this situation, we want to beat them.

"Now, Guinea-Bissau is in the first position, we want to go top if we score ten per cent of the chances. It's a different match tomorrow(today)."

Should the Super Eagles fail to defeat Guinea Bissau, their chances of qualifying for the AFCON tournament would become slim, as it will also mean losing 5 games, including friendlies.
