MR Zakari Ahmed, who is the Special Adviser to the President on Infrastructure and the Secretary of Power Sector Reform Working Group, gave the details while addressing the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) during the just concluded 31st teleconference meeting, chaired by Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
He said the proposed electricity reforms will also include “transition strategies for electricity subsidies, and the management of State and local government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) outstanding electricity bills.”
After his presentation, the NGF) resolved to review the proposals submitted and communicate their position to the Power Sector Reform Working Group on a later date.
