LGSC visits Mosan Okunola LCDA Secretariat

THE Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon Princess Olabisi Adebajo, yesterday, hosted the Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Kamal Bayewu and his entire entourage on his first familiarization visit to the Council Secretariat

The visit which is the first at Mosan Okunola was to sensitize council proprietors of the importance of staff welfare. 

The Council boss appreciated the LGSC Chairman for taking time out to pay a working visit to Mosan Okunola. 

She lauded the commitment and diligence of the Council Manager, Prince Adeeso Adedoyin and the management staff and referring to them as seasoned professionals and great personalities to work with. She also promised to provide a staff bus for the staff.

The LGSC Chairman ,Hon Kamal Bayewu, appreciated Adebajo for her efforts toward the staff and encouraged her to do more. He highlighted the purpose of the familiarization tour and emphasised on the importance of staff welfare as paramount among other challenges.

He further noted the issue of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and encouraged the revenue officers to strategize on how they can expand and bring in more revenue.

The Permanent Secretary Local Government Service Commission, Mrs Mobolaji Daba who was also in attendance, enjoined the staff to maintain discipline and familiarize themselves with Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations and Annual Reports.

Mr. Abiodun Bamgboye, Permanent Secretary Local Government Establishment, Training and Pension, also advised the staff to learn how to relate with the political office holders and be professional about it. He admonished them not to 'play' politics at the expense of policy and charged all staff to invest in themselves to be knowledgeable, as well, take deployment as an instrument of building their career.
