Stakeholders meet to discuss Ayobo-Ipaja's Y2021 budget

Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA recently held her annual stakeholders meeting at the Community Hall to provide an avenue for participatory process in making input into the Year 2021 budget.

Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA recently held her annual stakeholders meeting at the Community Hall to provide an avenue for participatory process in making input into the Year 2021 budget.

The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon Yusuf Sakiru Adisa, was full of gratitude and praises to Almighty God and also the inhabitants of the LCDA for the previous year.

According to the Chairman: " The Year 2020 was a challenging year; a period where the entire world was enmeshed with the advent of COVID-19 pandemic. Afterwards, we encountered the #EndSARS protest. In all these, my administration took up these challenges and together we were able to advance the dividend of democracy to our people".

He, therefore, urged the stakeholders to feel free to contribute to the process of providing a budget that will be sustainable.

The interactive session saw stakeholders from all the five Wards in the LCDA drawing attention to all the needs in their various communities, ranging from roads, drainages, security, waste management, health centers, motor parks etc.

The Chairman of CDC, Elder Olokede, in his remarks said, "on behalf of the communities, I thank the Executive Chairman for all he has done so far for us and we urge him not to relent in making sure that Ayobo-Ipaja remains a force to reckon with."

The Executive Chairman thanked all the stakeholders for their contributions, promising that all their needs would be looked into and that he will ensure equal development across all sectors to the benefit of the inhabitants.

The occasion was witnessed by HRM Oba Kolawole Ajani Egundupe, the Olu of Ipaja Kingdom, the Baale of Ijon, High Chief Okikiola. Others at the occasion include the Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Bola Sobowale, Leader of the House, Hon. Babatunde Ajose, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Abiodun Agbaje, the Council Manager, Mrs. Mercy Adeyemi, Supervisors for Education, Mrs. Funke Adewunmi (Works), Hon Isa Aremu Lawal (Women Affairs), Mrs. Bola Daudu, SA Budget, Hon. MOD Danmole, the Clerk of the House and Heads of Departments.

 Stakeholders at the event include the Community Development Committee Executives, Lagos State Artisans, Ayobo Ipaja Chapter, Market Men and Women Association, Lagos State Neighbourhood Security, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ayobo Ipaja Chapter, APC Ward Chairmen amongst others.
