COVID-19 Second Wave Threat: Sarki Alimosho warns Arewa communities in Lagos against complacency

The Sarki overall of Alimosho Local Government in Lagos, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, has called on the Arewa communities spread across Lagos to join Lagosians and the Lagos State Government in owning the fight to stem the resurgence of coronavirus as it rears its ugly head again, in an attempt to wreak bigger havoc across the world.

Rising from a joint meeting of the assembly of Sarkis, numerous opinion leaders and stakeholders of the Arewa community in Alimosho LGA, the Chairman of the Chieftaincy Council of Arewa Community in Alimosho stressed the importance of giving the fight to irredeemably flatten the COVID-19 curve all that is humanly required by all and sundry.

He maintained that the unprecedented drawback visited on humanity by the pandemic must not be allowed to repeat itself again.

Speaking further, the royal father affirmed that the Chieftaincy Council under his stewardship appreciates the importance of the need to fully join the fight against the current threat and challenge posed by COVID-19, positing that their meeting was specially convened to reawaken the spirit of responsibility in our communities in the LGA and by extension the entire state.

Contributing, numerous other stakeholders at the meeting stressed the importance of fully embracing the preventive medical protocols and advisories earmarked by authorities in health management issues, even as they enjoined everyone present to spread the message of the meeting far and wide.

Bringing the gathering to a close, HRH Alhaji Kuraja, sought increased commitment of all the Sarkis present, numbering about 15, in the promotion of peaceful co-existence, obedience to law and order, to engender growth and development across Lagos State.
