THE Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Chief Mrs Bola Shobowale has assured residents of her administration's commitment to addressing the several challenges faced by the people, declaring that their yearnings would be included in the 2023 budget proposal.
The Council Chairman gave her words recently at the council secretariat during the year 2023 stakeholders’ consultative forum.
In her address, Shobowale reiterates that the purpose of the annual exercise is to give the citizens of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA the opportunity to be part of the preparation and planning process of the year 2023 budget while noting that no meaningful development can take place in the budget execution without adequate planning, funding, and proper execution.
Hence, her administration is working relentlessly to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by closing all loopholes through which shortfalls are recorded and stepping up on revenue drives so as to meet the needs of her people.
She also informed the stakeholders that the Council has adopted the use of an electronic billing payment system for the collection of levies, dues, and charges.
She, therefore, charged them to pay directly to the council's account, disclosing that her developmental effort is in line with the state THEMES agenda in areas of education, health, environment, youth, and women development, human capital development, works and infrastructure.
