The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Yusuf Sakiru Adisa has presented the year 2021 budget to the Legislative arm of the LCDA.
The "Budget of Consolidation," premised on the completion of ongoing projects, has a proposed budget of N1,701,583,575.37.
The Leader of the house, Hon. Babatunde Ajose, welcomed the Executive Chairman and his entourage to the hallowed chamber and consequently called for the presentation of the proposed budget.
Hon Adisa thanked the legislative arm for their support and the warm reception he had always gotten from them. In his words: "This house has been a solid partner in progress and none of the achievements recorded in the immediate past years of his administration is without their support and cooperation."
He further restated some of his administration's achievements in the areas of Health, Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Education, Construction etc.
In his review of the outgone year, Adisa thanked the Almighty for His protection occasioned by the global epidemic and the slow impact of businesses across the land. Despite all these, he said the budget recorded 74 per cent overall performance. Highlights of the presentation revealed an increase in total Capital Expenditure against last year.
The Council Chair called on the people of the LCDA to fulfil their civic obligations as at when due so that the government can reciprocate the gesture with further developments. He thanked the entire management and staff, noting that this presentation would be his last in his administration while urging the house to act fast on the proposed budget.
The Leader of the House thanked the Executive Chairman and promised a speedy passage of the budget.
Present with the Chairman was the Vice-Chairperson, Hon. Bola Sobowale; Secretary to the LCDA, Hon Abiodun Agbaje; The Council-Manager, Mrs Mercy Adeyemi; Council Treasurer, Mr Adekanbi Lawal and Human Resources Head, Mrs Elizabeth Layode- Akran.
Also in attendance were the APC Chairman in the LCDA, Hon. Bamidele Ojo; the Party Secretary, Hon. Seyi Okediran and other party stalwarts. Other Executive Members in attendance were Supervisor for Health, Hon. Fatai Garuba; Supervisor for Agriculture, Hon. Wole Aina; Supervisor for Works, Hon. Isa Lawal; Supervisor for Education, Hon.
