APFAN soccer league commences

The Association of Proprietors of Football Academies of Nigeria (APFAN) has commenced its 2021 APFAN League in Lagos.

The Association of Proprietors of Football Academies of Nigeria (APFAN) has commenced its 2021 APFAN League in Lagos.

The league, which comprises of the U17, U13 and U10 categories, is played every Saturday at the Alade Stadium, Ipaja Command.

The kick-off of the 2021 APFAN League, which happened over the weekend, had 21 registered Academies from Alimosho, Ifako-Ijaye/Ojokoro, Agege, Mushin, Oshodi-Isolo, Ilupeju, Ikorodu and Idi-Iroko, Ogun State in attendance on Day One of the league.

Among those in attendance for the screening exercise conducted for all categories was the State President of APFAN, Prince Tunde Alade, an ex-Rangers FC player and a one-time Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer.

It was a successful kick-off with 10 matches played and 21 goals scored.
