The Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Morenike Adesina Williams has begun the construction of a temporary police centre at Ikotun, following the attacks on police stations by hoodlums after the peaceful #EndSARS protest.

The Chairman condemned the attacks on Ikotun and Igando police stations and warned that the council would neutralise any move that will jeopardise security architecture and the maintenance of law and order in Lagos State.

The council boss explained that the temporary police centre will serve as temporary offices for police officers to attend to criminal matters and aid the protection of the community as the festive season approaches.

“I charge police officers and other security agents to be resolute in protecting lives and property, and restoring peace and public safety in our Community", she said.
