THE Member-elect and member representing Alimosho State Constituency ll at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Kehinde Joseph, has been praised for fulfilling his campaign promises following yesterday's commissioning of the rehabilitated Akesan-Obadore road.
This recognition bestowed on the state legislator does not come as a surprise, as the road project is among the numerous projects facilitated by him in fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people during his election in 2019.
The Lawmaker, alongside Engr. Aramide Adeyoye, who represented the Governor, was received in the community by the traditional rulers, Alakesan of Akesan, HRM Oba Najeemdeen Abidemi Ogunjobi and Onigando of Igando, HRM Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi.
Also present were cabinet chiefs, Chairman of Alimosho LGA, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon; Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Lasisi Akinsanya; Alimosho Federal Constituency Member-elect, Hon. Ganiyu Ayuba (Mayor KK); Commissioner for Tourism, Art and Culture, Hon (Pharm) Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuff; and members of the community.
Describing the project as the best dividends of democracy attracted by any lawmaker to the community, HRM Oba Najeemdeen hailed Kehinde Joseph for keeping to his promises to the people of the community, noting that the Lawmaker has distinguished himself as a promise keeper and a lawmaker of repute.
The statement of the traditional ruler was echoed by the Onigando of Igando, HRM Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi, who noted that Kehinde Joseph has, by the project, shown that he is genuinely interested in the development of the Constituency.
"I am amazed that despite the challenges faced during the construction of the project, you are still relentless in your pursuit for good governance," the traditional ruler remarked.
Speaking, the Member-elect, House of Representatives, Hon. Ayuba Adele (Mayor KK), who was the former Special Adviser on Urban and Regional Planning, stated that Kehinde Joseph proved naysayers wrong by keeping to his promise of commencing and completing the project despite all the challenges brought up by some of the house owners while the construction was ongoing. He noted that Kehinde Joseph's achievement in the Constituency is first class.
Responding, Kehinde Joseph gave gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve the people, stating that he has no regrets about serving the people meritoriously. He further thanked the people for their support and urged the communities to ensure proper maintenance of the projects he had attracted.
