Igando-Ikotun LCDA re-launches Operation Clean Up Environmental Sanitation exercise

THE Executive Chairman of Igando Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, has re-launched the Operation Clean-Up Environmental Sanitation that was once synonymous with the Secretariat.

During the re-launch, the Council Mayor advised the people to always keep the Council Secretariat environments clean so to be healthy.

The Chairman, who was represented by his Vice Chairman, Hon Mojisola Ayinke Badmus, advised the people to avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse to make the environment clean.

Hon Mojisola, who doubles as supervisor on Environment, while leading the environmental taskforce team and shop owners within the council premises to carry out the exercise,  said:

“In our determination to keep the environment clean at all times, we have decided to re-introduce the monthly sanitation within the Secretariat with Operation Clean-Up.

“It is in view of this that the government wants to call on everybody to reciprocate the local government’s gesture by protecting and keeping their environment clean.

“This is because a healthy nation is a wealthy nation. We must comply with the Chairman's directive on monthly sanitation for healthy living,” she said.
