The Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Morenike Adesina-Williams recently commissioned a new block of six classrooms, in further fulfilment of her campaign promises.
The new block of classrooms built by the Council boss is equipped with furniture, a library, toilet, borehole and an administrative office.
During the commissioning, the Chairman reaffirmed her commitment towards infrastructural development to give residents access to quality education, making the environment more habitable and conducive for teaching and learning.
The Asiwaju of Igando-Ikotun, Hon. Jimoh Ajao commended the Council boss for bringing education to the doorsteps of the people who he claims genuinely deserved it.
Hon. Ajao observed that the choice of the project would go a long way in liberating the minds of the students, stating that what the people needed were basic necessities of life.
He reminded the chairman that the people were anxiously watching to see how campaign promises made would be fulfilled, urging that the confidence reposed in them by the voters should not be betrayed.
"I have promised to fulfill all my campaign promises to the people of the council and bring about the needed change in the running of the council ", Morenike said.
She spoke extensively on the need to educate the younger generation in a bid to give them a better future, where they can be independent and contribute positively to the development of the State.
