Igando-Ikotun: Akinsanya graces female football finals in Igando, bags 'Grassroots Influencer' award

THE Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Ayinde Lasisi Akinsanya, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, graced the first edition of the Igando-Ikotun friendly female competition finals hosted by Bet9ja and sponsored and supported by Mrs. Olori Sandra, and the Igando-Ikotun LCDA at the Aj Field, Wasiu Onifade Street, off Celestial Road, Igando.

According to an online correspondence signed by the Media Aide to the Chairman, Comrade Oseni, the Bet9ja friendly female football competition was initiated to promote female football in Igando-Ikotun LCDA, to promote gender equality, and also draw attention to the developmental issues affecting women.

While speaking at the event, the council mayor, Comrade Akinsanya, appreciated the organisers for the honour bestowed on him, and for the continuous support shown to his administration.

“It becomes very imperative for me to especially thank the rich and resourceful brains behind the success of this football competition, also for deeming it fit to honour me with the prestigious award of the ‘Grassroots Influencer of the Year’.

“I dedicate this award to the entire resourceful youth in Igando-Ikotun for their support and for giving me the platform to serve them,” he stated.
