RESIDENTS of the Obadore community in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos were elated to have enjoyed an uninterrupted power supply which lasted from the night of Monday, September 26, 2022, to about noon on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, despite the publicized collapse of the national grid.

Recall that the national grid collapsed on Monday, September 26, 2022, making it the seventh time this would be happening in 2022.

Announcing the development on Monday, September 26, 2022, the DISCO which covers the Obadore community and some parts of Alimosho, Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, in a statement via its verified Twitter handle, said, “This is to inform you that the outage you are currently experiencing is due to the system collapse of the national grid, which occurred earlier today at 10:50hrs.

"This has affected the Transmission Stations within our network and resulted in the loss of power supply to our customers. Kindly bear with us as we await the restoration of the grid.”

We had brought you reports earlier this month when, following repair works by IKEDC, some members of the community still said that the power was not constant, as they received light only after every three days.
